This limited edition book tells the story of Saltaire through its shops and charts the changes in retail trading over time. In particular it examines the evolution from the retailing of essential and basic goods and services which met villagers' needs in the 19th and much of the 20th centuries.

This book was launched at The Saltaire History Club meeting on 22nd September 2011 in Salts Building, Shipley College. It is a limited edition and all proceeds from the sale of the book are donated to The Saltaire United Reformed Church Restoration Fund. Please email the webmaster to purchase.
