VILLAGE WEBSITE WATCHES LODGE

North LodgePeter J. Bottomley is keeping a watchful eye on renovations at North Lodge and making sure that visitors to the Village website are well informed. The building, one of the lodge houses which served Titus Salt Jnr.'s mansion at Milner Field, has been derelict for some time. But the firm of York House Construction is now at work there and architect Paul Gott reports "everything is going to plan". Janis Stone, Sales and Marketing Director for Hartley Property Trust, which owns the Lodge and ninety-five acres around it, said the property was likely to be offered for rent rather than sale. Peter is concerned about the future of a pair of owls who have already made their home at North Lodge, and is requesting that a nesting box nearby be included in the plans.
