SALTAIRE CHANSONNIER LAUNCHES BAILDON SKY ROCKET

Eddie Lawler launches his new CD "The Baildon Sky Rocket" in the Half Moon, Roberts Park on Sunday May 20th , at 2.30pm. Admission will be free, there will be a bar and soft drinks and all profits will go to support the Half Moon.

Eddie, who is better known to us locals as the Saltaire Songster and is now known internationally as the writer of Saltairy Tales, will be playing both guitar and keyboards (at various times) as well as singing as he presents his new collection of original works in what he describes as a continental “chansonnier” style of cabaret type entertainment. “Fun, mixed with some serious social comment and a bit satirical,” he says, “to get rid of some of my bellyaches.” Eddie already has two CDs, as well as two books of poetry on sale.
