Harrogate and the Dales Association

Thank you on behalf of Harrogate and the Dales Association for our excellent tour of Saltaire. Your approach to the subject is both fun and interesting and we all enjoyed finding out who we were from our book marks. It is such an original idea everyone enjoyed seeing where they lived on the village tour after you left us. Thank you both and we will certainly be singing your praises to the rest of our association.

On behalf of Settle Farmers' Club, I am writing to thank you and your colleagues very much for our guided visit of the Saltaire Village. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the visit and thankfully the weather was very kind to us on that evening!

A tour of the village is certainly very interesting and gives you insight into how things would have been in the time of Sir Titus Salt, we would recommend it to anyone.

Thanks once again for your time in organising the tour for us, and pass on our thanks to all concerned for making the tour possible. Keep up the good work.

This is just a short note to thank you and Roger, and the other lady for such a fascinating time on Monday. We all enjoyed visiting Saltaire, and the walks around the Village from the Church was riveting. The Church is beautiful - so unusual for a Congregational one. We enjoyed meeting Mrs Stewart and Mrs Dooley - it was very good of the Minister to give us so much of his time. We do hope you are successful in raising money for the Church - you all work very hard to bring the place alive. Most of my group knew nothing about the 19C industrial north, and this visit gave a glimpse of that life was like 130 years ago in such a village.

We do hope you have many more groups - it was a lovely visit.
