Saltaire also has local recyling units on the car park located Saltaire Road / Exhibition Road. These units take paper, tins and foil and mixed glass.

Recycling serviceable furniture and white goods

• CHAS (Catholic Housing Aid Society) use any money they raise from the sale of second hand furniture to finance their housing advice service, helping people who are homeless or facing eviction or debt problems. Despite the name they are totally non-denominational and do a great job but can be a bit choosy about furniture. Obviously upholstery has to be fire-resistant and must have the labels to confirm this, but they do also take cookers, fridges, washers, TVs as well as furniture. Telephone: 01274 731909

Aire Valley Recycling - collects recycling from your door
Saltaire residents have been provided with a box shape green bin which you can use to put in items for recycling. See the list below for what is acceptable. Use your box, put it out before 8.30 a.m. on the collection date and put any surplus items in carrier bags. Put your box out on the main street (not your back yard street).
