Dear WW1 Group Members and Friends

Download the Remembrance Day poster (above) to publicise this event.
1.  Cancellation:  We had planned to hold an afternoon event on 1 November to launch our exhibition about Bradford  in the autumn of 1914.  This is now cancelled - to be replaced by:
2.  After the Cenotaph Service, Sunday 9th November  we are all invited to take coffee and biscuits with the Lord Mayor.  Our exhibition will be staged in the Banqueting Suite of City Hall throughout the day.  At 3pm there will be a staged production presented jointly by Bradford Civic Society and Ilkley Playhouse.  Five participants, directed by Moira Ferguson, will present poetry and prose linked by a narrator.  This production was given during the Ilkley Literature Festival to very good reviews.
Our display will provide a wonderful back-drop for both attendees at the Lord Mayor's reception and the audience for the drama presentation.  I do hope many of you will be able to attend one or both.
Please forward this email, with the attachments, to as many people as possible: our Group and the Civic Society need a huge audience!
With best wishes
