World Heritage Weekend
Art Exhibition 26/27 April 2014
Organised by Saltaire Learning

United Reformed Church, Victoria Road Saltaire

We are holding an art exhibition which could include paintings, prints photographs, or sculpture which relate to the theme of:

Saltaire Stories: past, present and future

All art work must be accompanied by a sentence (144 characters max.) which states its relevance to this theme.

Preference will be given to those who live in the local area or have close connections with Saltaire.

All art work must be accompanied by a statement of materials used and the process of its making.

Each person who has an exhibit will be asked to spend some time over the weekend (between 10am to 4pm each day) to help staff the exhibition.

All art work is displayed at the owner’s risk, no responsibility for theft, damage or any other occurrence will be taken.

Exhibits are able to be sold with a 10% commission payable to the URC.

Space is limited and so initially only one exhibit per person and large pieces may not be able to be displayed.

Those wishing to exhibit should get in touch with Rob Martin (see below) with a description & dimensions of their exhibit to arrange for the art work to be viewed.  An image of the art work would be helpful but not essential.  Selections will be finalised on/by Friday 11 April and artists informed.

It may be necessary for the art work to be brought to the URC for the selection to be made.  This would be over a three hour period on a date yet to be decided.

Those exhibits chosen need to be brought to the URC on the morning of Friday 25th between 10am and noon, and removed from the URC immediately after the exhibition closes at 4pm Sunday 27th April.
