The North of England from a Dutch man's point of view

There is a new website which features the North of England, constructed by UK fan, Michel who lives in the Netherlands.

Michel writes: I am Dutch, a bit fan of the UK and the north of England in particular. I love this region for its big and beautiful national parks and conservation areas where you can enjoy the hills, mountains, lakes and moorland and also scenic coasts, like those of Yorkshire and Northumberland.

Nature is not the only thing that attracts me. I am also interested in the region's history and heritage. I love visiting old houses, palaces and abbeys but especially industrial heritage that can be found here in the north, as the Industrial Revolution had a big impact in the areas around the Peak District and Yorkshire. The Victorian industrial village Saltaire and its Salts Mill is one those great places for you to see.
