Saltaire Handmade

Starting on Saturday 15th October at Saltaire United Reformed Church we'll be launching a new monthly event 'Saltaire Handmade' - an art and craft event featuring local artists, crafters and traders.  100% handmade and produced by the talented people that will be there selling their work.

Timed very deliberately to be on the same day as the Saltaire Farmers' Market - 3rd Saturday every month and in the fabulous setting of the lower rooms of the United Reformed Church.

For us it ticks so many boxes that are important to us - a Local Event - showcasing Local Talent in an iconic Saltaire venue plus the knowledge our venue hire fees will be directly helping the URC with restoration, upkeep, improvements etc

It will be open from 10am to 3pm, we'll have a small Café area serving very reasonably priced filter coffee, tea and snacks and around 20 or so art and craft stalls.

We still need more stallholders for most months and with a combination of our 'local' ethos and the sure and certain knowledge that we have loads of talented people in and around Saltaire as demonstrated by the Festival, open houses, Makers' Fair etc, we're very hopeful that we'll attract interest from both new and already existing crafters, artists and traders so it will be an ever changing, vibrant and dynamic showcase month after month.

We're also hopeful that visitors to our event will also boost visitors to the Farmers' Market and vice-versa for that matter as well!
