The Saltaire Archive is a unique collection which includes books, newspapers, Salt family memorabilia, maps, plans, illustrations etc. on the history and present development of Saltaire. The Saltaire Studies collection has developed and grown over the years and part of the collection is displayed in ‘The History of Saltaire’ exhibition on the ground floor at Salts Mill. However much of the collection is behind the scenes and carefully stored in the Saltaire Studies Centre in the Exhibition Building and is for reference only. Once a year this interesting Archive is opened up to the public and all are welcome to go to Shipley College to view the artefacts and share their stories.
