BBC 2's Flog It! comes to Saltaire
Valuation day - Thursday 4th August, 9.30 - 4 pm

The popular BBC2 antiques programme, Flog It! which regularly gets an audience of 2 million viewers each weekday and is presented by Paul Martin, is coming to the beautiful Victoria Hall in Saltaire for a valuation day on Thursday 4th August from 9:30am – 4:00pm. Admission to the valuation day is free, and everyone who comes along will receive a valuation.

Once valued, the owner and team of experts decide whether it should go forward for auction.  If the item is chosen to be filmed, it will go auction at Calder Valley Auctioneers, Fairlea Mill, Ellenholme Road, Luddendenfoot, Halifax, West Yorkshire, HX2 6EP on Thursday 13th October 2011. The resulting programme will be broadcast later in the year.

Previous programmes have seen a small cream jug sold at auction for £1,300; a ceramic bowl, bought for £4 at a car boot sale, achieving £1,500; and a lady in Aberdeen sold a Shelley tea set for a huge £3,400! More recently we surprised a gentleman who brought in a ceremonial cup made from Rhino horn; it later sold for £44,000! So if you've ever wondered how much those boot sale bargains or clutter in the loft might be worth, now is your chance to find out.

Disabled access to Flog It! is available. Public parking in Saltaire village is limited. There are 2 small pay and display car parks nearby, however we recommend that visitors to Flog It! use public transport where possible

Saltaire train station and the main bus routes into Shipley are located just a short walk from the venue on Victoria Road.
