On Saturday, 22 May, a commemorative event to celebrate the refurbishment of Roberts Park and the opening of the new bandstand will take place.

1.30 - 2.00pm
Arrival of guests dignitaries etc
Refreshments in Pavilion
Rainbow Morris dancers
2.00 - 2.15pm
Speeches & unveiling/opening of bandstand

2.15 - 3.00pm
Hammonds Saltaire Brass Band
‘A vision of Saltaire’ opens 1st set and is conducted by composer. Baton then handed over to Morgan Griffiths
Introduction by composer Jonathan Brigg.

3.00  - 3.30pm
The Gaiety Engine (Victorian Freak Show) by the Strangelings

3.30 - 4.00
Salts School Band (TBC)

4.10 - 4.40
Hammonds Saltaire Brass Band
