Kevin Sunderland reports: Thought you might be interested in this fish which was caught in the River Aire, Roberts Park on the 24 January. I sent the photograph to 5 anglers who know about this sort of thing and they all tell me it's a sea trout. It was about 23 inches in length. The angler returned it to the water unharmed.

It's not totally unexpected to get a sea trout at Saltaire as migratory fish are now getting into all the Yorkshire rivers. However, it's the first I've heard of in the Aire. Hopefully, it will be the first of many.
