ACTORS WANTED!
This year’s Saltaire Festival is presenting a new play set in the “model village” of the 1860s, where the realities and loyalties were far more complex than previously suggested. We are looking for actors to fill the following roles:
- Dr Rhind – 40+. A self confident “ladies man”.
- Miss Anne Wade – 20 to 25. An inspired teacher.
- Miss Lydia Wade – 20 to 25. Her sister.
- Mrs Sarah Turner – 30+. Competent Hospital Matron.
- Elsie Sedgley – 13 to 16. A central role. A difficult but clever village girl.
- Maggie and Hannah – 13. Village girls (nice little parts for 2 friends).
- Will Forrest – 15 to 16. A typical lad.
- Leonard Dewhurst – 8. A small but central role.
- A bereaved child.
