This year’s Saltaire Festival is presenting a new play set in the “model village” of the 1860s, where the realities and loyalties were far more complex than previously suggested. We are looking for actors to fill the following roles:

  • Dr Rhind – 40+. A self confident “ladies man”.
  • Miss Anne Wade – 20 to 25. An inspired teacher.
  • Miss Lydia Wade – 20 to 25. Her sister.
  • Mrs Sarah Turner – 30+. Competent Hospital Matron.
  • Elsie Sedgley – 13 to 16. A central role. A difficult but clever village girl.
  • Maggie and Hannah – 13. Village girls (nice little parts for 2 friends).
  • Will Forrest – 15 to 16. A typical lad.
  • Leonard Dewhurst – 8. A small but central role.
  • A bereaved child.

Help with sound, music and lighting.

If you think you can help in any way, please ring 01274 783846 for more information. [This information was posted here on 29 February 2008 and will be updated when all positions are filled.]
