Saltaire Village Society
Announcement, 20 October 2006

Elaine Gilligan writes: I'm pleased to inform you that Saltaire Village Society is alive and well and has an Acting Committee / Working Group which will carry it to the next AGM in May 07.

I have checked our constitution and we can fill casual vacancies occurring amongst the Officers of the Society.

The Acting Committee consists of myself, Elaine Gilligan, as elected Chair and elected Committee Member Denise Hibbert, plus Eddie Lawler co-opted as Acting Secretary, and Mark Batty co-opted as Acting Treasurer.

There are two dates for your diary:

• Tuesday 14th November - Open Meeting with Saltaire Festival Committee
• Thursday 30th November - Bradford Council presentation / discussion on proposals for traffic calming in the Village, and for Saltaire roundabout.

Both events in Victoria Hall at 7.30pm, all very welcome.

We will be arranging an open meeting to discuss the future of SVS and what
our future role and focus should be so watch out for details. We'll be
looking at ways to improve our internal communications through the use of
the webpage www.saltairevillage.info and through the development of our
own web page/s, and by working more closely with the Saltaire Sentinel each
month.
