Throughout February and March, the Half Moon Cafe in Roberts Park is graced with the photographs of Saltaire resident, Andrée Freeman.
Andrée, a keen photographer and blogger, started the blog, Saltaire Daily Photo, in June 2009 and has maintained the blog ever since, now known as Salt and Light. Her initial project produced images of Saltaire that were fresh and unusual and she has continued in that vein ever since. This is Andrée's first solo exhibition and mostly features images of Saltaire.
The exhibition venue, the Half Moon café in Roberts Park, has a long, curved wall inside the building, ideal for displaying art and photography. The café has been refurbished and is run by the Saltaire Cricket Club and supported by volunteers. It has limited opening hours during the winter (Wed to Sun: 10am - 4pm) and offers al fresco tables in fair weather, and a series of exhibitions and fine dining evenings.
