Well done! I can't tell you how jealous I am!!   Why would anybody want to block a cellar up when space is in such short supply in Saltaire houses?

I'd still love to know why none of the left hand houses at the bottom of George Street dont (appear to) have cellars?!

NEW DISCOVERY! Well I took Paul's advice and opened up part of the cellar. I needed to see where I can run a pipe to the back of the house and knew there was some rubble however not this much!!

I'm thinking that they took down the outhouse pre-planning restrictions and put all the left over hardcore down there.

See for yourself. If anyone's had a cellar tanked out I'd appreciate a ball park as to what I would pay.

Thanks

Rach

Hi Paul

Well you do live on the nicest street so that should be some comfort! Are you doing yours up at the moment? You can have them tanked out but I wouldn't be sure you don't have one as there is no visible way of seeing mine but I know there is one due to other houses.

We live in one of the houses on the bottom of George Street. Does anyone know why the houses on one side of the road don't have cellars? I wish we had one! If mine was blocked up, then i'd be prizing that cover off immediately!

Hi

In my house my cellar is blocked up. I own a mid terraced workers cottage on Ada Street and have been interested to know how big the cellars are?

I have a bizarre cover outside so I can see how deep the cellar is roughly but am interested to know what other people have?

Thanks

Rach
