The show returns at the 2006 Festival in an updated version and with a slimmed-down cast (NOT “a completely new version” as mistakenly billed in the Festival Programme).
The author directs his own work, and points out that this will be your last chance in a while to see this musical, which takes a wry look at Saltaire’s history and present-day life. He plans on presenting a different work at the 2007 Festival.
Local residents, front and back-stage, and kids from the Wilson Centre of Performing Arts bounce through this pacy bit of theatre, which you can see in Victoria Hall, Saltaire, on Tuesday 12th September (Open Dress Rehearsal, admission £2), with Festival Performances on Thursday 14th and Friday 15th September (admission £6/£3).
There is, coincidentally, a CAMRA Beer Festival upstairs on the Thursday and Friday!
