VICARS - A CAFÉ, BISTRO AND COMMUNITY CENTRE!

Vicar's is a fascinating place - part café, part bistro, part community centre, and has steadily grown a reputation in Saltaire for serving great food and getting involved in the community. Where we can buy fairtrade or local produce, we do, with ten per cent of our profits going to the Red Fund, a charity helping people in Zimbabwe coping with HIV.

Set up by two vicars, we aim to extend warm Christian hospitality to all residents and visitors.

Have you been in for lunch? Panini, oven-baked potatoes, tasty toasties, freshly-made soups and home-made cakes are all on offer.

MONDAYS - "MATURE MUNCH"

Come on Mondays for the "Mature Munch" - a cooked two-course meal and coffee for £5 perfect for our more mature diners.

WEDNESDAY MORNINGS - KNITERATI

On Wednesday mornings we host Kniterati where experienced knitters mix with learners of all ages - over a coffee and hot toast!

THURSDAY MORNINGS - BABY LOUNGE IN THE RED ROOM

Thursday mornings the Baby Lounge is in full swing in our Red Room upstairs at Vicars. Mums bring their babies for a giggle and a hot-buttered currant tea-cake and fresh coffee. As ever, all welcome.

FRIDAY AND SATURDAY NIGHTS - BISTRO

On Friday and Saturday nights Vicars transforms into a Bistro where customers sit at long tables for a five-course meal for just £17.50 per head. Meet the chef! Bring your own wine (soft drinks and specialist coffees are available for purchase).
